OUR STORY
In 2013 Pastor Rob was given a challenge based on one question, “What would a church look like in today’s culture if the church did not have its years of tradition?” This challenge inspired him to find out what fresh thing God desired for Bradford. Promise Church is the result. The five-year prayer and study journey showed that God wants Christians to grow together in community, He wants Christians to serve together side by side, and He wants to foreshadow the fulfillment of His promises in our town and the surrounding areas through the church. As time grew nearer for the launch of Promise Church, families and other churches started to join and offer their support to this vision. Today we meet every Sunday morning to journey together towards the goals that God has set out for us.
The name Promise Church comes from the idea that God has made two outstanding promises that are yet to be completely fulfilled. First, He promises to live with humanity, and second, He promises to remove all the evil in the world and make all things right. Our vision as a church is to foreshadow what things will look like when those promises are fulfilled.
